Timeline
Step 1 - Work with a partner and research the decade you have been assigned. Take notes in your own words (do not copy text directly from the source). You may also use Diigo or another resource to highlight important information or remember which sites were the most helpfulto your group. You will need to set up a folder to keep your forms and notes together to assist you as you work on your project pieces.
Step 2 - You and your partner will have four pieces to your completed project. Two of these will be graphic representations of information. You will need to decide as a group whether you will divide the work up or work on each piece together. One graphic piece will be an interactive timeline of the important events of your decade. The other will be a Glog about your decade that paints a picture of life at that time and highlights the most important things you would want someone to know about that time.
Step 3 - You will need to decide what the Big Ideas of your decade were. There will be two pieces of writing that need to be completed for this project. Thinking about everything you learned about that timeframe, you will assign your decade a title that encompasses what it was all about. You will write a summary of the decade's major events and changes and justify your chosen title. You will then write a letter to nominate your decade for an award. Decide what award would be well-deserved and support your point with specific examples from your research.
